Launching on Amazon

Amazon Small Business

I've recently started selling on Amazon. I never thought I could or would be able to do something like this but like most new challenges, we can surprise ourselves.
I have to admit, I am not a techie. When I owned my pottery studio, everything started with an in person experience. I understood that. And when I sold the studio I wanted to try something other than a 'brick and mortar'. E-Commerce.

Amazon FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) is the method where I send all my handmade items to Amazon and they send them out for me. I spend a few frenzied days packing, labeling and boxing up 100's of items. This is an experiment. I'm not sure Amazon is right for Marigold Bazaar. I like working with my customers. I like the experience of getting orders out. But it reaches a global audience so let's see if it works. Like all new businesses, we test, adapt and keep moving.

(Update: As of January 2022 I no longer list my items on Amazon. While Marigold Bazaar did okay on that platform, the fees were too much. And I learned that I really like being closers to my customers)
